 Those who believe Sai Baba to be a Hindu, they argue that he is a Hindu, like-

Some reasons for being a Hindu:

           1. Baba Dhuni Ram Dhuni only burns Shaivites and Nathpanthi saints.

2. Baba's ears were tied. Ear piercing occurs only in Nathpanthis.

3. Sai Baba used to organize Naam Kirtan every week which had hymns of Vitthal (Krishna).       Baba used to say- Dankpuri of Thakurnath, Pandhari of Vitthal, Dwarika of Ranchhod is here.

4. Sai Baba used to apply sandalwood and kumkum on the skull.

5. The place where Baba first appeared to the people was the tenacity of Baba's Guru. When that tomb was excavated there were four lamps burning. Mhalasapati and other devotees of Shirdi always saluted this place as the tomb of Baba's Guru. (Sai baba religion)

Knowledgeable about Sai, they believe they followed the Nath sect. Keeping water kamandalu in hand, dhuni Ramana, drinking hookah, ear bandhwana, and relying on begging - these are the signs of Nath sect saints. It is necessary to burn fumigation in the Naths, whereas in Islam, the fire has been considered unsafe. It is only by this one karma that he proves to be a Nathpanthi.

Some consider Sai a Muslim fakir. They say that Sai was a Muslim fakir and lived his life like Muslims. For this, they argue-

1.  Persian is the word 'sai' which means a saint. The term was generally used for Muslim ascetics in that period. In Shirdi, Sai was first addressed by the priest of the temple where he had come out and called him Sai. The priest of the temple saw him as a Muslim fakir only then he called him as Sai.

2. Sai never said that 'everybody owns one'. In Chapters 4, 5, 7 of Sai Sachcharit, it is mentioned that he kept saying 'Allah is the owner' throughout his life. In order to make him a Hindu saint, some people propagated the lie that he used to say 'everyone's master is one'.

3. A Hindu saint does not tie a shroud on his head, only Muslim fakirs tie it. The dress worn by Sai can only be that of a Muslim fakir.

4. Why did Sai Baba choose the mosque to live in? There were more places, but they stayed in the mosque all their lives.

5. According to Sai Shacharit, Sai Baba used to tell people about worship, meditation, pranayama, and yoga, there is no need to do it. His sermon shows that he was anti-Hindu. (Sai baba religion)

6. He used to ask the cleric to read the Fatiha by inviting utensils from the mosque. Only after this did food begin.

7. Sai was considered as Yavana by all. He was not from Hindustan, but from Afghanistan, so people called him a Muslim of Yavan. His height and stature and stature were the same. According to Sai Shacharit, Sai once mentioned this. Those who used to visit him considered him as a Muslim fakir, but people were confused by seeing the sandalwood on his head.

8. Baba used to light a fire in Dhuni to avoid cold. People considered this fire to be fumigation. (Sai baba religion)
